As a core part of our mission, the Dean of Students Office cultivates engagement, belonging, and respect.
Within the Dean of Students Office - central administration, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, Residential Life, and Student Engagement and Leadership, we will commit to becoming an active anti-racist organization. We began our work this summer, studying and curating the list of resources below, and will continue into the academic year and beyond.
As our society reckons with our nation’s longstanding and persistent lethal and systemic racism, the deep-rooted and deadly violence committed by police and the implicit and explicit anti-Black bias that persists in our work and lives, we need to build a community of action and one embedded in learning.
We offer the following resources for all DSO staff or Harvard College community members who want to educate themselves about this complex and painful reality and how you can take action. These resources are sourced from Harvard College students, student organizations, DSO staff, and offices within the DSO. If you or your organization would like to list a resource, please send it to dso@fas.harvard.edu.
