## **About the CCAB**

The inaugural Culture & Community Advisory Board (CCAB) was launched in the Fall of 2025 as part of the new Office of Culture and Community (C&C) within the Harvard College Dean of Students Office. CCAB will be an incubator for community builders, whereby students receive mentorship, administrative support, and funding to facilitate programming designed to cultivate community at the College.

Students serving on the CCAB provide input on C&C's grant distribution process. They will also have the opportunity to connect and confer with senior DSO, College, and University leaders on issues of community. CCAB members will be invited to participate in special convenings and events to both foster their leadership development and bolster their network.

The CCAB works under the guidance of [Dr. Alta Mauro, Associate Dean of Students for Culture & Community](/people/alta-mauro-phd "Alta Mauro, Ph.D. "), and is coordinated by Matias Ramos, Associate Director of the Harvard Foundation.

## Culture & Community Grants

Grant Process

The **Office of Culture and Community** invites applications from **collaborating Registered Student Organizations (RSO)** to the new Culture and Community grants program. This new grant program supports campus-wide initiatives that contribute to undergraduate student life. Grant awardees will support undergraduate initiatives that foster community building, cultural and intellectual curiosity, and student connections at Harvard College.

This grant program is focused on supporting student-led initiatives that contribute to fostering Harvard University values within the Harvard College community, including: "Cultivate bonds and bridges that enable all to grow and learn from one another." The fund supports collaborations among student organizations, and at least two RSOs need to be named in the application. Events must be open to all Harvard College students, and applicants need to demonstrate an appropriate outreach strategy to include a broad set of undergraduates.
