Consult with the Summer Director and register your travel if you plan to be away from campus overnight or travel outside the greater Boston area.

Moving Out

The deadline for students not graduating in May to move out of campus housing is Sunday, May 17, at 12:00pm. The deadline for graduating seniors is Friday, May 29, at 5:00pm.

  1. Please let us know when you are leaving, or if you have already left, by filling out this form.
  2. Close your windows, unplug your refrigerator, and sweep/vacuum your floors. Make sure your door is locked. 
  3. Return your room key to the House Building Manager. If the office is closed, place your key in an envelope with your name and current room assignment.
  4. Set up mail forwarding. Cancel or redirect any regular packages/mail being sent to your campus address.
  5. Update your address in my.harvard.edu (view instructions).
  6. Donation bins for unwanted items will be available in the following locations: 
  • Adams: Outside Building Manager’s office
  • Eliot: Outside Building Manager’s office
  • Kirkland: B building archway         
  • Quincy: Junior Common Room
