[Receiving a package](/packages-isolation#receive) [Sending a package](/packages-isolation#send)

## Can I receive a package in isolation?

###
During the academic term, yes! Packages can be delivered during business hours Monday through Friday (except University holidays).

**Here are a few things to keep in mind:**

- Avoid large, heavy, or breakable items. You will have to carry your package with you back to your House or dorm when you leave isolation.
- Avoid any liquids or perishable items. Alcohol is prohibited.
- Packages will arrive 24-48 hours after request.

### How will it get to me?

**If you (or a family member or friend who isn't on campus) are ordering online:**

- Have your package sent to your House mailbox / Harvard Yard Mail Center address.
- Do not have a package sent directly to your isolation location.

**If a friend on campus or faculty member wants to give you something:** they can address it to you and give it to their Building Manager or Yard Ops.

**Address as follows:**

*Recipient Name*
*c/o \[Sender’s House or Yard\] / \[Faculty members write: c/o Yard Ops\]*

Once your package arrives, email your building manager (House residents) or <hums@harvard.edu> (Yard residents) to request that the package be delivered to you.

**For each requested package, please provide:**

- Recipient name
- Isolation location
- Tracking number (if known)
- Sender (if known)
- Size (if known)
- House/Yard mailing address (e.g., 1234 Lowell Mail Ctr)

### Any questions?

- Reach out to your [Building Manager](/building-manager-directory) or [Yard Ops.](https://yardops.fas.harvard.edu/about-us)
- We ask that you only follow up on locating a package if it’s absolutely necessary. Remember: package delivery occurs Monday through Friday, with the exception of University holidays.
