As the director I am responsible for the leadership of the Women's Center including strategic development, operational management, financial planning, program development, and alumni relations. In addition, I work collaboratively with Center-affiliated student groups to advise them on their leadership, strengthening visibility, and to assist them in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of an array of programming that raises awareness of women’s issues and promotes gender equity.
My journey in higher education started teaching English language courses at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. While I love teaching, student affairs and equity, diversity, and inclusion work is my true professional passion. As such, I started at Harvard in 2012 at the Harvard Foundation for Intercultural and Race Relations, followed by a stint at the Phillips Brooks House for Public Service before landing at the Women’s Center.
Aside from gender equity, I nerd out for language-learning and food. When I’m not at work I enjoy traveling abroad; visiting National Parks, hiking and camping; hosting tea parties; sewing, card-decorating, and crafting with re-purposed materials. I’m also an avid bike-commuter and eventually want to get back into playing soccer, ultimate frisbee, and working my way back up to participating in another sprint triathlon.
Really there’s no limitation with the kinds of things students can reach out to me. Adjusting to campus life, learning about the tea selection at the Women’s Center, reproductive justice, support for Women in STEM, leadership development, restorative justice, and getting engaged with the Women’s Center are all things I regularly connect with students about.
I take she/her/hers pronouns.
