I provide budgetary, financial and human resources oversight for Mather House (75 staff, 400 undergraduates and 30 faculty affiliates). I also manage all non-facilities aspects of student housing, along with five rental units and the main faculty residence; while making sure our in-house fine arts facilities, instructors and programs (pottery studio, wood shop) are running smoothly. In addition I lead our communications strategy (digital signage, website, Facebook, print, promotional items) and branding; as well as all event logistics (catering, staffing, supplies, furniture, A/V, building access, parking). Finally, I supervise our 2 Faculty Dean Assistants and Mather's student employees.
Previous to Harvard, I spent a decade working as an agricultural economist for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome, Italy. I continue to consult for them as a commodity specialist reporting on the world supply and demand for pulses (legumes). I was also a research administrator at the Tufts Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging while working on a Masters in Humanitarian Assistance. Glad to share my rant on nutrition sensitive humanitarian assistance, sustainable agriculture, dietary diversity and the like!!!
Outside of work, I am an Italophilic polyglot, foodie, and (injured) long distance runner (now biker/hiker/swimmer).
