Maria Greenland (she/her) is a freshman at Harvard College in Canaday, considering a concentration in Anthropology with a secondary in Integrative Biology. Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Maria's heritage as a Welsh-Italian-American-Jamaican reflects the country's motto, "Out of Many, One People”. She believes the Foundation embodies this motto, from its members to its mission, and thus cannot wait to support different cultural opportunities on campus through its work. She is currently a member of Omo Naija x The Wahala Boys and the Caribbean Club. In the coming years, Maria is excited to explore opportunities on campus that align with her work back home in dance therapy, environmentalism and sustainability, and empowering youth voices as a member of Jamaica’s UN/EU Youth Advisory Group.
