## If you are approved to stay on campus during Winter Recess, there are a number of services available to you, along with opportunities to socialize.

## Campus Services

Some services will be limited during [Winter Recess](https://calendar.college.harvard.edu/event/winter_recess_begins_12212023_-_1212024) (**December 20, 2025 until January 25, 2026**).

### Dining

- **Dining hall service will be adjusted during this time period.** Visit the HUDS website for [dining hall openings and closings](https://www.dining.harvard.edu/event/winter-break-undergraduate-dining-operations?occ_id=0).

### Buildings and Facilities

- For issues with your heat or bathroom or other routine maintenance, contact the [Operations Center](https://www.energyandfacilities.harvard.edu/operations-center) to open a work order.
- Recreation Facility Hours Adjustments: Harvard Recreation reduced hours will start **Wednesday, December 10, 2025**. QRAC will be closed starting **Saturday, December 13, 2025**, and reopen on **Tuesday, January 20, 2026**. Hemenway will be closed starting **Wednesday, December 24, 2025**, and will reopen **Monday, January 5, 2026**. ### Transportation 

- **There will be no shuttles and van service from December 24, 2025–January 1, 2026.**
- Limited service will resume beginning January 2.
- Full shuttle and van service will resume on January 18.

## December 2025– January 2026 Social Events

**Staying on campus for Winter Recess?** The Dean of Students Office has put together a flexible lineup of events for you to enjoy, plus free T-passes to explore Boston on your own. These events are only open to Harvard undergraduate students remaining on campus over Winter Recess. A limited number of tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who have been approved by College Housing for Winter I and Winter II housing should keep an eye on their email for weekly updates on upcoming events, the link to RSVP for tickets, ticket pick-up details, and other free opportunities on campus and around the city!
