On behalf of the Harvard College Orientation Committee, we are delighted to introduce you to the Harvard community and to support you in navigating the college transition. Prior to in-person Orientation, you must complete the Welcome to Harvard module in Canvas.
What you'll learn:
The Welcome to Harvard module will teach you about the many resources, offices, and individuals who can help you throughout your undergraduate journey at Harvard College. Please familiarize yourself with the mission of Harvard College prior to completing the module.You will explore three equally important components: the intellectual, social, and personal transformations you will experience as a student.
What to expect:
After select sections of the module, you will be asked to complete learning checks in order for you to reflect on how the information presented to you may be helpful as you navigate your first year at Harvard.
How long it takes:
Plan ahead – this module will take you approximately 2 hours to complete. Please make sure you give yourself plenty of time to finish before to the August 7 deadline.
Why it's important:
You are required to complete this online module, including the learning checks, by August 7 to participate in any social programming during the in-person Orientation experience. Completion of this module will be shared with your First-Year Resident Dean.
