Harvard/Yale: Ticketing, Transportation, Lodging

Dear Harvard College Students,
 
It’s hard to believe that “The Game” is just over two weeks away! I am writing to share with you some information about this annual rivalry between Harvard and Yale, taking place on Saturday, November 23 at noon at the Yale Bowl in New Haven, CT. As you know, The Game is one of the most storied traditions in all of college athletics, and I hope to see many of you at the Yale Bowl for the 136th rendition.

Below is some information you will need if you plan to be there. I also encourage you to visit the Harvard/Yale webpage or the Harvard/Yale section of the Omni App for more detailed information and regular updates as we get closer to The Game.

TICKETS
 
Tickets to the game are available to all Harvard College students at a cost of $25 each. They can be picked at the following times/locations:
 
Monday, November 18
Smith Campus Center Box Office, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pforzheimer House, 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM
 
Tuesday, November 19
Smith Campus Center Box Office, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Annenberg, 4:30 PM – 7:15 PM
 
Wednesday, November 20
Adams House, 5:00 PM – 7:15 PM
 
Thursday, November 21
Murr Center Ticket Office, 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
 
Friday, November 22
Murr Center Ticket Office, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Payment - Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and cash will all be accepted.  (We are not currently accepting Venmo.)
  • Cost - $25 per ticket
  • Harvard ID – Students MUST show their HUID in order to purchase a ticket
  • Ticket Limits – 1 ticket per Harvard undergraduate student.  Students interested in purchasing tickets for guests may do so online through Yale’s Athletics Ticketing website.  There are a variety of price ranges to choose from.

TRANSPORTATION

  • Round trip shuttles to New Haven will be provided by Harvard Student Agencies at a cost of $58/student.
  • Shuttles will depart from the Science Center on Friday afternoon, Friday evening and Saturday morning, with return trips on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. (Exact times will be posted soon on the Harvard/Yale webpage).
  • Shuttle tickets may be purchased at the Smith Campus Center box office beginning this Friday, November 8.

LODGING

  • All Harvard Houses will be paired with a Yale College for rooming. Please keep an eye out for an email from your HoCo to sign up for this! First year students will be similarly paired – watch for an email from the FYE.
  • All the Yale Colleges will be providing breakfast on Saturday morning, and some may provide dinner on Friday night. Please have your Harvard ID to get access to their Dining Halls. Saturday lunch will be provided at the Tailgate event (more details to come). 
  • For access to the colleges late at night, students should call Yale Security at 203-785-5555. There are security guards all around campus who can come and swipe you into the colleges no matter what the hour. If you lose your phone or your phone is not working, you can push the button on the blue light boxes. 

Yale Bowl Policies

  • Students should be advised that Yale Athletics has instituted a strict “Clear Bag Policy” which will be in effect for The Game.
  • Detailed information on the policy may be found here, and please also see graphic below. I strongly encourage you to review this information carefully if you are planning to attend The Game
