Abby Cohen

As Academic Coordinator I provide administrative support to the Resident Deans of First-Year Students and the Senior Assistant Dean of Residential Life, serving as a source of information for student academic concerns. I maintain student files and data, prepare and disseminate dockets and correspondence, assist with scheduling, manage first-year housing updates, and liaise with other offices across the University. I am most proficient in organization and data management and also quite adept with MS Office tools and StarRez. My favorite thing about working in the FYE is seeing the "origin story" of our Harvard students. This is where they start their journey, and I'm thrilled to be a part of the team that helps to facilitate that journey.

I enjoy spending time at home with my husband and young son, playing Pokemon or Mariokart, cooking, and planning our next Disney trip. (I am very much in my "Disney era" and would love to talk anything Disney with you!) I am passionate about organizing and tidying and strive to live a more minimalist lifestyle. I also love music and dance, particularly jazz and swing dancing.

Students can reach out to me directly for guidance on anything related to the First Year experience. If I cannot answer a question directly, I'll likely know who or where to refer someone to.
