Lowell House Resident Dean
Assistant Dean of Harvard College
Annie Park

I am so excited to begin my first official year in this amazing community as your Lowell Resident Dean! My role is to support you in your unique experience at Harvard, with the understanding that your personal, physical, mental, social, spiritual, etc. well-being is tied to your academic well-being. I am here to help you with any academic or personal issues; if I don't have the answer, I will make sure to guide you to someone who can help you. I'm a non-judgmental listener and confidant, and having had my fair share of life experiences, I am shocked at nothing.

While I grew up in many places, including many cities in Southern California, Arizona, Las Vegas, and South Korea, I've now spent the longest period of my life in Boston. I come from an immigrant family and was a FGLI student at Williams College. After graduation, I spent a year working abroad in Chile, and then I completed my PhD in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences program here at Harvard studying the bacterium that causes tuberculosis. After deciding research was not for me, I started working as a TA for Ls1a, Ls1b, and GenEd 1004. I've spent the last three years as a preceptor for Ls1b and am now also a lecturer in MCB.

Some of my other interests include music, nature adventures, and faith related things: as a pretty liberal Christian, I'm always up for a discussion on the ways faith(s of all different religions) intersect with science, gender/sexuality, college life, etc. I also love traveling (so far made it to 20 countries), and I dream of going to Antarctica one day.
