Dwight Fee, Ph.D.
Collaborating with the incredible Crimson Yard Proctors, I work with the students in the Greenough, Hurlbut, Pennypacker, and Wigglesworth dorms, advising and supporting them in all matters, whether they be academic, residential, or personal.
I love helping students transition to Harvard and feel privileged to work with so many wonderful students and colleagues within the first-year experience area. I love animals (my spouse and I have two cats, Bruno and Zora). I'm also a fan of all the Boston pro sports teams and a big supporter of Harvard Athletics.
After receiving my Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of California-Santa Barbara, I taught at Vassar and Middlebury College. My work and teaching in sociology focused on social psychology, identities and inequalities, and mental health. I joined the Harvard College Writing Program (Expos) in 2012. There, I enjoyed working on pedagogical innovations that targeted student engagement and transformative learning through multimodal approaches to writing. I have been a Resident Dean since 2018, and I love my job.
