Hugo Cardona

Administrative Coordinator, Harvard Foundation for Intercultural and Race Relations
Hugo Cardona

As the Administrative Coordinator I will be supporting the foundation with the day to day operation of the office while providing input and feedback on programs and activities sponsored by The Foundation. I will organize and implement administrative systems and procedures in support of The Foundation while assisting the Director on Correspondences, internal records, event planning and any financial processes.

I am a first generation immigrant from Venezuela and college graduate from the University of North Texas (B.S ’18). I worked at Northeastern University for 3 years prior to coming to Harvard as an Academic Assistant then Graduate Program Coordinator. While there I served on the DEI board within the MIE department and further evolved my passion and understanding of DEI in the Higher Ed space. I’ve found that working in my community in service of Equity is a personal passion and an area I wish to advocate for the students of Harvard and beyond. I hope to serve the community here as a resource and ally and am always eager to learn and engage in new practices and ideas of inclusion.

I enjoy going on hikes in New Hampshire/beyond, architecture spotting in New England, visiting museums, watching the latest MCU series/movie and am a photographer in my spare time (street/portrait). Please feel free to stop by my office anytime in Grays Hall for assistance with The Foundation or how we may best coordinate with you or your team on DEI initiatives within the Harvard space.
