Associate Dean of Students
Lauren Brandt

I serve as the Associate Dean of Students within the Dean of Students Office, overseeing the Residential Life Unit, which includes the First Year Experience program staff and the Housing Office. I also work closely with the Houses and all things related to residential life (including House Committees, HUDS, transportation, tutor trainings). I deeply enjoy helping students navigate their time at Harvard and am honored to be part of your Harvard experience.

I earned my AB in History and Literature, an MA in History, and Ph.D. in American Studies from Harvard, and currently teach as a lecturer in the History and Literature program, with an emphasis on questions of religion and gender within American history.

In my free time, I love reading mysteries and Jane Austen novels, walking my dog, and spending time with friends and family.

I first arrived at Harvard as an undergraduate, living in Wigglesworth and then in Winthrop House. Since then, I have held numerous roles at the College, including serving as a resident tutor and Resident Dean in Leverett House, and as an assistant dean within the Office of Academic Integrity and Student Conduct.
