Tamina Kienka
I'm Tamina. I'm almost certain you're going to mispronounce my name the first time, but don't worry—we can fix that. I'm currently an MD-PhD student at Harvard Medical School. Before coming to Harvard, I attended North Carolina Central University, where I played tennis for four years. It was an amazing experience. I fell out of the habit of playing regularly for a while, but I'm looking to get back into it. So if anyone wants to get out on the courts, let me know. Over the past four years, I've also served as a Resident Tutor in Dunster House. Working closely with students has been one of the most meaningful parts of my time at Harvard. I've had the opportunity to help students navigate everything from pre-med challenges and course selection to the occasional life crisis that seems to find all of us at one point or another. It reminds me of a lot of my own college experience, which is part of why the role has meant so much to me. I'm excited to serve as your Proctor this summer and look forward to getting to know all of you. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions, need advice, want to talk about medicine, research, sports, or if you just want to chat.
