Hello Class of 2027! My name is Amber, and I’m a proud Atlanta transplant who’s now been in Boston for almost ten years. My partner Taylor and I both attended Boston College, where we met in BC bOp!, BC’s “premier” (read: only) big-band jazz ensemble. I graduated in 2017 with a BA in Islamic Civilizations & Societies and then came to Harvard for my master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies. If anyone wants to chat about gender and sexuality in the context of the Abrahamic faiths, hit me up! Since finishing my master’s in 2019, I’ve been working at the College as an admissions and financial aid officer. Taylor and I (and our cat, Ruthie) are very excited to welcome you to campus, and to share our passions for great food, great books, and Walden Pond.
