Hi, I’m Amy Cole Vreeland! I’ve spent my career to date in education and entrepreneurship. I love both teaching and learning and am having the time of my life as a doctoral student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Prior to this, I finished my masters in public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School. I’ve worked primarily in and around start-ups my entire career. I supported first-gen college students in a non-profit startup, taught math as a founding teacher in a new New Orleans high school, and facilitated in a startup incubator in South Africa. I started my own company—TrueSchool—and spent 10 years focusing on innovation in the k-12 public education systems. In addition to my current doctoral work, I also advise early-stage ventures. I’m an Echoing Green Fellow and Unreasonable Fellow. I love live music (especially JazzFest in New Orleans!) and my dog Frankie, who will be so happy to meet you in the Yard.
