Gabriela Dumancela is a Spanish language instructor in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Harvard University and a graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education (M.Ed. in Human Development and Education, 2024). She integrates cultural exploration and critical thinking into language acquisition to support learners’ identity development, self-awareness, and self-efficacy. Central to her practice is the belief that education should nurture  both the mind and the heart; accordingly, she prioritizes social and emotional learning by fostering strong, authentic relationships in and beyond the classroom.
