Salutations! My name is William Martin, and I’m a PhD candidate in the English Department at Harvard University. I study the intersection of aesthetic theories across the Black Atlantic from poets previously associated with the Black Arts Movement and Caribbean Artists Movement. Always seeking opportunities to foster a supportive collegiate experience, my experience spans serving in roles such as Pedagogy Fellow for the Derek Bok Center, Literary Fellow for the Student Center at the Harvard Griffin Graduate School of Arts and Science, and Resident Advisor for the graduate student residence halls. I have served as an editor for "The Graduate Review" and "The Yellow Couch," reflecting my interest in building a vibrant literary community on campus. Outside of academics, I’m a voracious creative writer.
