Undergraduate students are generally not eligible for housing through Harvard University Housing (HUH). Students who are veterans, married, and/or have children may be eligible for Harvard-affiliated housing through HUH. Given the leasing period for HUH housing, students are strongly encouraged to make such a request during the spring term (between March 1 and May 1) if they are requesting housing for the following academic year. The SOCH offers a variety of workshops tailored towards our student organizations and student leaders. Past trainings have included the Annual Student Leadership Forum, Transitioning Leadership Workshops, Advisor Workshops, New Student Organization Trainings, and more. If you are a listed officer, you can complete event registration through SOCO. To register, offices should select the “Events” tab on the SOCO homepage. Students will then be guided to the event registration form. You should read all instructions carefully and fill out all required information. Please note that the form is not submitted until you hit “Submit” on the very last page of event registration form.
Before starting a student organization, you should browse the current list of student organizations on SOCO. If a student organization does not already exist, you can apply for recognition as a new group. The application is available at the start of each fall semester for the subsequent academic year.
