Providing support and advice is a significant part of my role as Resident Dean of Eliot House where I also serve as the representative to the College’s Ad Board and assist students with navigating Harvard’s numerous resources. Mostly, I love getting to know students and encourage them to reach out with any issue (big or small).

In addition to my role as Resident Dean, I am a Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology where I teach courses on gender, labor, South Asia, and Feminist Anthropology. I completed my B.A. in Anthropology and Environmental Science at Lawrence University and an M.A. in Development Studies at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai, India. After many years teaching courses on leadership and social activism at the Ulsan National Institute for Science and Technology (UNIST) in Ulsan, South Korea, I moved to Providence, RI where I completed an M.A. and Ph.D. in Anthropology at Brown University.

I am a firm believer that one can never have too many plants or too many books, and my house is a testament to this belief. I am a huge fan of fermented foods and find much joy in experimental cooking and baking.
