Alison Welch

Pforzheimer House Administrator
Alison Welch

As the Pforzheimer House Administrator, I manage the housing lottery process, room assignments, and financial needs of the House community. I support the Faculty Deans, Allston Burr Resident Dean, Academic Coordinator, and Building Manager in event planning, special projects, and all other administrative tasks related to House life.

I joined the Pforzheimer House team in December 2021, and prior to that worked as a Resident Director at Boston College for just over three years. I received my masters in education with a concentration in College Student Affairs at Rutgers University, where I became interested in holistic student support, and student retention and success.

I am originally from Fairfield, CT, and am an identical twin! In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, baking, and exploring coffee shops around Somerville and Cambridge.

I completed a year of service with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps after college, and am passionate about discussing post-graduate service and the role of higher education in social justice initiatives, so students should reach out to me if they are interested in these topics.

I take she/her/hers pronouns.
