Hello, Class of 2027!  I am thrilled to be part of the team welcoming you to Harvard.  I grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa and Boston, before coming here as an undergraduate.  Now, I’m pursuing a master’s degree in ancient Chinese religion and philosophy.  Watch me heave towering piles of books into my room!  I’m joined by my wife Polina, also a graduate of the College, who studies the political economy of post-Soviet Eastern Europe.  Come practice your Russian, Chinese or German with us, or talk about being an international student, a serious Christian at Harvard, Confucius, liturgical vestments, causal inference, continental philosophy, or anything else on your mind.  We can’t wait to meet you!!
