Katia Chadaideh

Interim Allston Burr Resident Dean for Pforzheimer House
Katia Chadaideh

Hi Pfoho! My name is Katia Chadaideh, and it’s my pleasure to be serving as Interim Resident Dean in the spring while Monique is on sabbatical. I am here to help you navigate the term in all the ways that Monique would, from academic decisions to personal concerns and supportive measures and beyond!

I grew up in Orlando, Florida and attended Rollins College, earning a double major in Biochemistry and Anthropology. I decided to brave the Boston winters to pursue a PhD in Human Evolutionary Biology here at Harvard, with a focus in Nutritional and Microbial Ecology. Along with my role as Interim Resident Dean, I am also the Senior Tutor for Kirkland House, as well as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. My research explores the impacts of diet on the gut microbiome, and all my thinking about food means you’ll see me in the dining hall often!

In my free time, I love spending time in a cozy chair with coffee and my kindle, going to the Boston ballet and Red Sox games, and taking long walks with my dog Milo. Keep an eye out for “Milo Monday” office hours!

Thank you so much for welcoming me to this pfabulous community for the term, and looking forward to meeting you all!
