Move-In Day for Incoming Students

cars in the Yard on move-in day
Incoming first-year students will move to campus during the last two weeks of August. Your specific arrival date will depend on whether you choose to participate in a Pre-Orientation Program. While Pre-Orientation is optional, the majority of incoming students participate. You’ll have the opportunity to apply for Pre-Orientation in May, and will learn the move-in date and logistics for your program in June. If you choose to come to campus for required Orientation only, you will know your move-in date in early May.

We recommend waiting to schedule travel until you know which move-in date applies to you. Please note the following:

  • Early arrivals will not be accommodated, so lodging for any nights before dorms open will be at your own expense at a location off campus
  • Late arrivals after in-pereson Orientation have begun are not permitted
